In its annual cities and regions of the future 2010/2011 rankings, fDI Magazine's panel recognised Flanders' efforts to attract investors. Staff that promotes investment, incentives and new infrastructure, all contributed to the ranking position.

Flanders also is the seventh most attractive region to invest in. Ghent is tenth most attractive micro city.

In de rangschikking van de aantrekkelijkste regio's om te investeren, staat Vlaanderen op de zevende plaats. Gent is tiende bij de microsteden die aantrekkelijk zijn om te investeren.
